I finally joined Pottermore. I remember reading years ago about how JK Rowling wanted to start an online HP encyclopedia, but then forgot. Also, the year it was launched was around the time I was without internet for several months. Anyway, my results from the quizzes:
Wand - Cypress with phoenix, 10 3/4 in, surprisingly swishy flexibility
House - Ravenclaw, I always get Ravenclaw in every quiz I do. Except that Buzzfeed quiz "What Hogwarts House are you in based on your sexual preferences" or something, then I got Slytherin. I do prefer the Slytherin green over Ravenclaw blue, but I am a happy Ravenclaw.
Ilvermorny - Thunderbird
Patronus - Rhino. People on tumblr were discussing who their human shaped Patronuses would be. For some reason, Rik Mayall was the first person to come to mind.

Again, some of these are older because I let them pile up.

Some of my favourite entries on Enormous Eye so far (no order):
angelicmobster8: (Katharine Hepburn)

  1. Bipolar Bear - Goth Time Rag

  2. Blank Dogs - Ages Ago

  3. Creepy lines from books

  4. Southern Swans Onion Annual, so there.

  5. This tumblr post mentions Academy X, omg I hated that book. I remember buying it from Value Village all "I like the cover".

  6. Speaking of tumblr, a guy playing table tennis with his dick appeared on my dash.

  7. Some of my favourite defunct livejournals: prettybooks (someone posted something in october), ofmornings, ergotismus (she has a tumblr though)

angelicmobster8: (WTF?)
Yeah, I'm not going to keep with it. It's kind of annoying.
angelicmobster8: (Katharine Hepburn)
Got one. It's meant to be an inventory of what I own, not sure if I'll keep up with it. Probably, cuz I just love lists.

Some stuff

I have decided not to look at Post Secret anymore. I dunno.

My Gotham City Sirens dream cast:

  • Poison Ivy - Christina Hendricks

  • Harley Quinn - Juno Temple (she's a bit younger than the other two though)

  • Catwoman - Gugu Mbatha-Raw

When I was reading Breakfast At Tiffany's, I was so surprised at how racist Holly was. I know it's the 40's and she's from Texas, but gawd! I couldn't imagine Audrey Hepburn saying some of those things. Or Marilyn Monroe, who Truman Capote wanted as Holly. While I was reading, I was trying to think of an actress who I could see as book-Holly, and I thought of Amanda Peet. Igby Goes Down Amanda Peet.

The wiki page for The Handmaid's Tale answered some questions I had. It was Atwoods birthday yesterday.

Here are some Jane Austen novel covers from the past. I really love that 1907 one.

I should start going to the art gallery or something. I haven't been there since I was 12, maybe?

I don't really get this following someone just because they followed you. It makes me nervous when I follow a blog, and they follow me back. Only follow me if you're actually interested in the content on my blog. I can't really explain it. I'm still shy on social media. I guess I can only write here because no one seems to read it.

  1. I feel bad for not liking Cat Power music more. Her voice is lovely and the songs are good, I just can't get into it. But I really love this.

  2. I got 8/10 on this literary villains quiz. Though I admit, I had to guess a bit.

  3. This is so true. I haven't told anyone this, but I had "Barbie Girl" stuck in my head while I was trying to kill myself, that one time. I don't think anyone I know would find it as funny as I do.

  4. Women who would end Christian Grey. The Marina Abramovic one is my fave. Catherine Robbe-Grillet would too.

  5. I love rocks/crystals that look like futuristic cityscapes or something. Set to this song.

  6. Here's another lovely crystal formation.

  7. This playlist.

Book related:

  1. Tells you how long it would take you to read the Game of Thrones series. I used to watch the show, don't know if I'll ever read the series. It also tells you how long it would take with other books. Anyway, I got 72 days.

  2. Deaths Head Hawk Moth

  3. Which banned book are you? I was the Henry Miller book...

  1. Billy Idol - Eyes Without a Face. Would need this playing at my 80's prom

  2. King Crimson - In the Hall of the Crimson King

  3. Pink Floyd - Brain Damage

  4. Anika - Sadness Hides the Sun. OMG OMG OMG OMG

  1. A tv spot for The Shining. It has music by Berlioz. I recognized it, because I used to watch Sleeping with the Enemy a lot when I was little.

  2. Beautiful motherfucking' trees!

  1. Tim Curry. Tim Curry. Tim Curry.

  2. "Hey" by Butthole Surfers. OMG this song. I used to be obsessed with "Pepper" in highschool.

  3. Important reminder. I did this twice yesterday and felt like shit. I also have to speak louder.

  4. Another song: "Pass This On" by The Knife. So epic. Needs to be in a futuristic sci-fi film about a cyborg cop. Something Ghost in the Shell-ish.

  5. Book art

book, lol

My first review on Goodreads

Poor Wanda

angelicmobster8: (Cherries)
Selling Wanda would have been a good experience for Ana, just sayin'.

I feel like these books could have been better. Like I said, she should have did more research and wrote a few more drafts. I'm not saying they would have been masterpieces, it's porn for fucksakes (fucksake?), but better. There are times when Ana is narrating and I think "That was actually on point, EL James should have explored it more".

I don't really read erotica, so I'm not trying to act like a big know-it-all. These are just my observations. I used to read Hermione/Snape fic, omg. There was a novel length one that wasn't on Ashwinder, that I really loved. I think this was it, though it wasn't on fanfiction.net when I read it.

Once I found this wonderful woman who did hilarious Buffy and Angel erotica. A couple were Buffy/Snyder, they blew my teenage mind.

I never could get into male/male fic, though I understand why so many girls do (lack of good female characters, make male characters less intimidating, they just find it hot, etc). I guess teen me needed cunnilingus in her porn. I don't know.

Anyway, the book could have been less ugh. I guess you could say this about most media though.

you are seagreen

Your dominant hues are cyan and green. Although you definately strive to be logical you care about people and know there's a time and place for thinking emotionally. Your head rules most things but your heart rules others, and getting them to meet in the middle takes a lot of your energy some days.

Your saturation level is higher than average - You know what you want, but sometimes know not to tell everyone. You value accomplishments and know you can get the job done, so don't be afraid to run out and make things happen.

Your outlook on life can be bright or dark, depending on the situation. You are flexible and see things objectively.

And I still do not have much to say. Or rather, I'm not as comfortable as I was posting things online. Also, I haven't had internet for a while.

Harpy had triple by-pass surgery yesterday. I didn't have any bad vibes about it. I don't know if that's my instincts being right, or if I lack compassion and don't care. The fact that I still call her Harpy when she's going through this is something to think about. I guess I love her, but she certainly makes it difficult. She's doing fine, she's a hearty dame.

I got a library card. I used to say "I can't read a book if I don't own it", but I'm buried in the books I do own. I don't think I'll ever be able to make the switch to tablet reading though.

Right now I'm reading "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" (1940) by Carson McCullers. It's depressing, but good.
