The other day, I burned the pages of my four high school yearbooks. I kept the covers... They were kind of nice. The pages on the other hand, had to go. Why would I want to keep them? I no longer converse with anyone I knew then. There was only one picture of me in each of them.

The only reasons I took them home from school:
1. I hoard books
2. I wanted to draw on faces

Reasons to burn them:
1. Waste of space
2. Recycle bin was full
3. Some of the things I wrote beside people I didn't like were negative. I do not need any extra negativity
4. Possible catharsis? Since I chopped these books up a few weeks ago (it has rained a lot), I don't think I have had as many high school related dreams as usual. The ones I have had, haven't been too bad.
5. Bonfire in the back yard!

It was fun.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Maybe it was Wuzzle Wuzzle. A pen/mini-stuffed leopard. Functional and fun. Put the fun in funcional, ha. Yeah, I did that. I have no idea what happened to him. I think at one point, another pen exploded onto him, but I still kept him.

Sometimes I also stole my sisters stuffed wolf: Secret. She still has him.

I also had a stuffed beagle, possibly named Rogue. I gave her earrings, not that I would put earings on an actual dog. She's on my bookshelf.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Worst as in mean, or as in they have the wrong job?

Mean would be Ms. V, my grade seven teacher. She would humiliate students in front of other people by giving out personal information. Some lady came in once and they were talking at her deak. I was sitting near-by doing an art project. Ms. V told the woman about how much school I was missing and how I never did my homework. Who is this woman and why do you need to tell her my personal info? Another time, she sent some students out in the hallway to finish homework they didn't do. That's fine. But a grade 8 student went to visit her, and she sent this student out to us to say "Ms. V told me to tell you that you are all a waste of air". I don't know what I would have said to this bitch.

The teacher who needed a new job: Ms. T, my grade 10 English and grade 11 History teacher. She never had control over her classes, and got information wrong. She didn't know how to mark tests properly. One time, she didn't show up for class, and I guess she didn't call in, because we were sitting in our empty class for a half hour. It was really surreal. I wouldn't tell her anything, because her classes were easy marks.

[Error: unknown template qotd]I'm not a 100% sure, my memory is very foggy. But I absolutely hate it when my mom or older sister (M) talked for me. Oh, and in 2002, my other sister (P) got a mullet and came to pick me up at school. Now I'm remembering stuff. M was picking me up from school, and I pointed out a girl who had made fun of my Pocahantas sweater (grade one), and the girl was with a friend. My sister walked up to the (wrong) girl and started yelling at her.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Probably that ugly rug we had in the living room. It was a spiral and I would run around on it getting dizzy in the process.

There was a message on the phone saying that the yearbook for the 2008-2009 semesters (I don't know if it's a normal thing for a highschool to take that long to complete a yearbook) were in. At first I thought, "Well, maybe I'll go pick it up tomorrow after I go to the bank". Then I realized that the thought of going into that school, even if it's for five minutes, makes me feel like I'm going to vomit. When we drive by it, I close my eyes or turn away. So fuck it.

[Error: unknown template qotd]When I was eleven maybe, my friend and I made our own Ouiji (sp?) board. We totally pretended it works, and the ghost told us to go to a park halfway across town at midnight or something.

If I won tickets, I'd go to any concert. I'd love to see the Rolling Stones, or any of those bands where the members are past sixty and still rockin' it. Or to a Grace Jones, Cher or Lady Gaga concert, mostly because they have cool wardrobes. I wouldn't mind going to watch an orchestra or something like that. I think my grandma brought me to see one at the Fox Theatre when I a little.

I am the youngest child. It has not been very beneficial. My sisters are about ten years older than me, so huge age gap. My mom kind of got lazy with me, my sisters were signed up for karate and gymnastics at an early age, I wasn't. And I wasn't really a go-getter. Also when I was born, there seemed to be less pictures, and less family trips. I had to learn a lot of things by myself, which is good I guess.

My sisters being older than me made it harder for me to confide in them. I'm very closed off. I hate it when people ask me questions. Even something like "What songs are on you iPod/mp3 player?" I feel like they're invading my privacy, and I try to change the subject. I hate answering questions. Unless of course they are on a blog where nobody knows me.

Lately I've been trying to remember things about my childhood, and they've been a bit blurry.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Sit in the shade and read. Walk along the river with a friend. Ice-cream. Cool movie theatres.

When I was little, playing in a sprinkler or "pool" was pretty big. I usually didn't go to Waterworld, because I couldn't really swim, and they made a rule against wearing t-shirt over bathing suits, which Chantel and I did often. Also, have a nighttime bonfire, which is illegal now.
angelicmobster8: (Ghost)
[Error: unknown template qotd]I was more fearless. Or I had fears, but they didn't stop me from doing certain things like they do today. Also, inventing imaginary worlds with my friends, that were way more fantastical (?) than my current daydreams.

[Error: unknown template qotd]I dunno, but this reminds me of Brandon from kindergarten. He gave me a string with wooden beads on it. But he forgot to tie the end, so they fell off.

[Error: unknown template qotd]The Ref, I wore out the VHS tape. I still love it so much. Favourite Christmas movie. They are like my family, but more funny, and Denis Leary has them hostage.

Runners up include:
1. Almost all Disney movies, which I still love
2. Practical Magic, not so much anymore. Could have been way better.
3. Fern Gully, still love it. Has Tim Curry as a villain, he's awesome.
4. Labrynth & Legend (the directors cut)
5. Other movies not marketted (sp?) to children: Die Hard, Scrooged, Big Trouble in Little China, and Se7en.
6. Movies I don't quite remember so much, but I know I loved: The Sandlot, Neverending Story, Princess & the Goblin, and the two movies I mentioned in a recent post: Milo & Otis and The Polar Bear King.

There's so many. Oh I forgot, I used to watch musicals all of the time with Harpy. Mostly Meet Me in St. Louis.

Edit: Read other comments and remembered a bunch more:
- The Last Unicorn
- Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Batman Returns
- TMNT, the one from the 80's
- Wizard of Oz
- Princess Bride and Dragonheart

What is up with children? I was remembering some of the messed up sadistic things my friends and I would do to eachother, we seemed to like pain. Like the game Mercy, I almost broke Kaylas fingers. Airborn, a game Kayla and I brought from cadets and introduced to our classmates. We played it wrong and ended up with bruises in the strangest places.

Then there's that rock, paper, scissors game, where the loser gets slapped. Oh, and TaSha and other kids were always sticking pins through the skin of their hands. I have a clear memory from when I was ten or so. We were are a church and TaSha kept sticking the pin of her angel brooch through the skin between her thumb and index finger.

I never saw this, but apparently burning your arm with a cigarette was popular.

I can't imagine what kids today do.

[Error: unknown template qotd]Everytime I hear this question, I think of the time I swallowed a penny, though I don't think that's it. My cat tiger. That spiral rug we had, that I would run around on and get dizzy. Not sure at all.

I don't think I have, but this does remind me of something else. When I was probably ten or younger, my sister used to hang out with this strange chick named Stephanie. She made up the craziest stuff.

In our basement, painted on a wall, was a whole bunch of comic book characters (I think, it was a long time ago) that the previous owners had painted. It was really gorey, so Harpy told Beast that it was evil and had to be painted over.

Stephanie had a look at it and said there was nothing wrong with it, except there were two demons living in our basement. One was an evil one that kept showing up in my sisters dreams, and it had a bunch of spikes on it's back. The other was frozen in time, and she kept calling it a sitting duck. So I assumed there was a giant duck demon in our basement.

So one night, Stephanie did a ritual to get the bad demon out. I think Cockroach let her do it because she didn't want to offend her. Meanwhile I was upstairs. I don't know why, but I had the feeling that there were a bunch of gremlins living under our couch.

Cockroach also used to hang out with a less crazier guy named Patrick. He said he had two hearts, but one was ran through by a bull.

Now that I look at Cockroach, it's not surprising that she would hang around with people like that. Though whenever I mention them, she changes the subject quickly.

Went through my memories. Deleted the entries that were either missing or the pictures no longer showed up. It sucks, because some of them were really awesome.

Cockroach FINALLY got an antique microphone off of eBay. I hope everything goes well, I don't think my family could survive that again.

Isn't it great remembering good things from your childhood. TaSha and I were talking about this type of thing this morning. Mainly, about Disney movies.

I got 21 out of 20 on my self portrait in pointilism. I've missed being a good student. Last week, was the first time in a month that I was at school for a whole week. I've missed so so so much school.

My dog is acting really weird today.

The Zipper

I miss the Zipper. I only went on it once with Chantel, I think I was 12. That was the best part of the day, because we weren't able to buy enough tickets. I actually found the ride very relaxing, Chantel screamed a bit. I don't think they have the Zipper at Winder carnivals anymore.

Yon know, I haven't been to a carnival at night for YEARS. I vaguely remember going to one with my mom, and we went on the ferris wheel. I think. I get a lot of my early memories mixed up with dreams so I don't know.

I would love to go to a carnival/festival (especially at night), but I don't have anyone to go with. I don't have any friends. I guess I could try with TaSha, but I can never make plans with her, she's unreliable. I've learned not to depend on her.

I don't know what brought this all up, especially in January.
