Happy Holidays
Dec. 20th, 2010 04:44 pmThey are mostly going fine, except I'm never speaking to Harpy again. The last time she was in this house was Christmas 2009. She usually goes on about how she's not coming over for a holiday, and then last minute she calls and says "Pick me up". Until after Christmas 2009 that is, she just stopped showing up all together. It was fine by me.
Everytime we are at her apartment, tension builds and like Cockroach says: "It's agony". We all turn against eachother to keep her negative attention off of us. When she cuts one of us up, the others keep quiet. I'm surprised I have never burst into tears (at least not since I was 10 maybe). Then when we leave, we breathe easier and feel more alive. After being on the phone with her, we actually feel physically drained.
Last night, my sister M was running errands (which included buying Harpy groceries apparently) but her car broke down. I guess she forgot to tell this to Harpy. At 8 (ish) this morning, Harpy called here and started bitching loudly at Beast about how she's done with everything and that she's not coming over for Christmas, and then hung up, like a child. Actually, she's the only person I've ever known personally that hangs up on people. No offense to children. She must have called M also, because we called her to ask about her car and she was crying. She couldn't stay on the phone because she was at work. It was her birthday on Saturday.
So I am done with that bitch. If she does end up coming over for Christmas, I'm staying in my room, I've had worse Christmases anyway. No one in our family seems to truly like the holiday anyway. If she doesn't, than good. I turn 20 in ten days and I'm no longer going to let her control me with fear and guilt and all of that shit. I almost want to send her a letter saying "I am sure Jesus will forgive you for the pain you have caused us, but I will not." But I wont because then she'll probably have an "accident" and complain how no one was there for her.
Anyway, I'm not as angry about it anymore. Except for the phonecall, depressed mother and crying sister, it's been a good day. Not that different from any other day.

Halloween is coming up, here are some horror movies I want to see, in no order:
1. Suspiria (1977) - I also want to see Dario Argentos other movies.
2. Hills Have Eyes, The (1977) - I didn’t like the remake, but I heard the original was very good.
3. Halloween (1978) - They never show this on tv, only the sequels and remakes, what is up with that?
4. Hitcher, The (1986)
5. Les Diaboliques (1955)
6. Faust (1926)
Since Friday, I have felt like shit because I did something so stupid. There are about 79 days left of this internship, I can't wait.

Writer's Block: Sweet Tooth
Apr. 12th, 2009 12:51 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]Right now I'm craving a Lindt chocolate bunny. Or a marshmallow peep, I don't remember if I like them or not, but I haven't had one in years. I also like those candy covered chocolate eggs with the pop rocks in them.
For Christmas, I like those candy cane hershey kisses.

At my sisters place. We're having Christmas here this year. I'm on potato peeling duty. 10 pounds of them. We take the mashed potatos (potatoes?) seriously. I had a dream that Mar woke me up to start peeling while it was dark out. Then I woke up for real and it was light out. I actually thought for a moment that I had slept in and we would have to have instant mashed potatoes (potatos?).
I'm the only one up here, and I'm sure everyone at my house is also asleep.
I'm not used to this lap top keyboard.

Writer's Block: What Kind of Wonderful?
Dec. 20th, 2008 11:02 am[Error: unknown template qotd]I love James Stewart, but I still have never seen that movie all the way through. When we go to Harpys place we usually watch it, but I'm exhausted by that point, and pass out on Harpys bed.
During Christmas, I usually get the urge to watch Meet Me In St. Louis.
My favourite Christmas themed movies are: The Ref, Scrooged, and Die Hard (it totally counts).

Writer's Block: Now Showing
Dec. 19th, 2008 02:22 pm[Error: unknown template qotd]Some of the movies being shown on Christmas Day (I think):
Bedtime Stories: Not really interested in it. Maybe I'll watch it when it's on cable.
The Spirit: Sure, I'd go out to see it. I liked Sin City & 300.
Valkyrie: People make such a big deal over Tom Cruise. But I still like him. He goes off a bit, but most of the time he remembers he's supposed to be a good actor. Plus it has Bill Nighy and I love him. But I'll wait for this movie. I think it also has Eddie Izzard and that chick from Black Book.
Marley & Me: It's a cute dog, but I can wait until it's on cable.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: I'd also go see this.
Althoug of course, I wouldn't go to the movies on Christmas day.

Well, I made 75 little bags of candy, and had a bunch of extra candy just in case. I knew we wouldn't need it though. We only got about 35 kids last year. This year we got 66, but still, it's quite small like the old days.
There were only two other houses decorated on my street (that I could see from my porch). And one wasn't even giving out candy. Yesterday was perfect weather for trick-or-treating. Ugh.
At least I got to watch some good movies I had never seen before.

PostSecret and Dreams
Apr. 16th, 2006 07:15 amEvery Sunday, I make sure I check out PostSecret. Unless I'm somewhere else, then I try for Monday. This week, this one caught my eye. I don't know if I feel the same. I do hope that person doesn't forget what they wrote on their postcard. Also I love the idea, w/ the ruby slippers.

I had an interesting dream last night/this morning. Somewhere towards the end, I got a phone call (the voice sounded strangely like my tech teacher). He said that I was going to be put into an institution for teens, since I was apparently clinically depressed. Which is wierd, because I seemed happy in the dream. Except at one point when this guy w/ special powers was attacking me and 'kept trying to freeze my arms and legs. He was hot though, he didn't seem to want to hurt me, it was like he had a job to do. Anyway, he (my teacher) named a institution, but said my mom could pick another. But I had to go.
Then I was there, and put into a group w/ four guys who were all part of a band. We were in a padded cell room, and they were performing for me as sort of a welcoming party. Aw. I don't think we were in the cell because we were crazy, but so no one outside could hear and be bothered.
Then we were in the cafeteria. Two things I remember vividly: the guitarist, and how he walked away to do something. He was really tall, had a blue beanie/touque/whatever, and bright shaggy blue hair. And I remember what I got: some kind of rice/noodle dish, chicken, and wierd goopey stuff. I skipped the spring rolls and the ham for some reason. I looked at them for a minute as if I were remembering something, then shook my head and walked away.
Well, today is Easter Sunday. My sister and grama will be coming over. I know my grama will have something to complain about. Aw my cats look so cute on the knew couch set. They looked great on the old one, because the old ones was a dark colour, so they contrasted. I think they are more comfy on this set.

Yesterday we had one birthday celebration (we usually have/go to 5, have/go to 8 christmas things, etc). It was my intermediate family and my Grandmother. Yesterday was her birthday. We also kind of celebrated my own. We had this really really cool Yule Log cake! It tasted great too! It looked amazing. Here's something random: I was watching Americas Funniest Home Videos, and these people were outside w/ their mouse... Anyway, a big bird came and flew off w/ the poor thing! That is NOT funny. I know it's nature, but it's not funny! Maybe a little.
I hardly got any work done today. It was all holiday talk. I don't give a shit about other people! I want my grades! Ok Jess... calm down. *takes a deep breath*. In lighter news, I am so happy! The Ellen DeGeneres Show is starting again! Today Ben Stiller is a guest. I love this show!
