angelicmobster8: shot from a scene in queen of the damned, surprised lestat, text says w.t.f? (WTF?)
A few years ago, I was seeing a psychiatrist because of reasons. Our first few appointments were pretty boring and he was really dismissive of me, but something changed during the last one. The way he was looking at me made me super uncomfortable and he was asking questions that seemed a bit inappropriate. But he didn't really do anything that I could explain to anyone else, it was mostly just a feeling. The day before my next appointment, I was crying with anxiety and cancelled the appointment. I got the answering machine and his assistant never phoned back. I told my mom that I felt he was incompetant.

For years I went back and forth between "he was creepy" and "I was just being avoidant and paranoid". He's just been charged with sexually assaulting six women. One woman said he gave her pills that made her hallucinate so that he could just blame anything she told people on that. I'm shaking and close to tears thinking about those women and I hope they will be okay. I hope he goes to prison and dies.

There was a tumblr post a while ago that I think of alot. It advised girls to trust themselves when they think a guy is creepy but can't explain why, even if their friends go on about how nice he is.

I don't know what else to say right now.

Book set in your hometown: Shallow Enough to Walk Through (2013) by Marissa Reaume

Here's my Goodreads review:
This book is set in my hometown. At first I didn't really get a Windsor-ish feel from it, but then she mentioned the "Feather Hat Man". I have seen him often. My sisters friend owns a shop downtown, she says he's nice. She also mentioned the man who wears dresses. People of all genders should be able to wear dresses if they want to. This particular man is mourning the loss of his wife, like that Brother Sharp guy.

The book is a little clunky and repetitive at times, but I still really liked it. It was kind of surreal. At first I was confused about how old fashioned the characters were, but I realize that it's because Mr. Pierce has mommy issues.

I hope women who are dating men like Dan realize that he is actually kind of abusive and leave those jerks. He reminded me of
this article by Jenny Zhang.

It mentioned Nutella about 15 times.

Some other notes:

  • I want Mica's insect shirt

  • Mrs. Pierce (Sara's grandmother) is awesome

  1. A woman was caught making web cam porn in two branches of the library. I have no problem with people making porn, but don't do that in the library! Agh.

  2. Two houses in my neighbourhood were set on fire. Benn happening a lot.

One thing I like though, is that it gives to a directory of bookstores in your area.

The river was so beautiful today. The sky was grey and there was no wind, so it looked like a mirror. If I didn't have a cold and had to go to Harpy's, I would have walked down there.

Some stuff

I have decided not to look at Post Secret anymore. I dunno.

My Gotham City Sirens dream cast:

  • Poison Ivy - Christina Hendricks

  • Harley Quinn - Juno Temple (she's a bit younger than the other two though)

  • Catwoman - Gugu Mbatha-Raw

When I was reading Breakfast At Tiffany's, I was so surprised at how racist Holly was. I know it's the 40's and she's from Texas, but gawd! I couldn't imagine Audrey Hepburn saying some of those things. Or Marilyn Monroe, who Truman Capote wanted as Holly. While I was reading, I was trying to think of an actress who I could see as book-Holly, and I thought of Amanda Peet. Igby Goes Down Amanda Peet.

The wiki page for The Handmaid's Tale answered some questions I had. It was Atwoods birthday yesterday.

Here are some Jane Austen novel covers from the past. I really love that 1907 one.

I should start going to the art gallery or something. I haven't been there since I was 12, maybe?

There is a building by Riverside that I absolutely love. For years I have traveled past it, but always on the road. It's an old abandoned ivy-covered warehouse looking thing. My mom said it used to be offices. That area is all Hiram-Walker factories and a bank and stuff. Some of the windows are broken or replaced with wood planks. In the fall, the ivy turns fire red.

It was a rainy day and I had to take the bus home from Riverside library (I usually go to Central). I was disappointed (though I love rain) because I had wanted to walk along Riverside Drive home. That would have been a mistake, my knee is all messed up. Then the rain let up a bit and I got off the bus on the street that the building is on the corner of. It's closer to home.

I walked right up close to the building for the first time ever. It was bigger than I thought and super ominous. They should film a movie there. The ivy vines are super thick and beautiful. Then I walked down a part of the river that I had never gone down before. It was literally the calm before the storm, so gorgeous. It was a breathtaking day. Detroit has been through so much, but it's so beautiful. I could hear sirens from across the river.

It was windy and I felt like crying, but in a good way. A bird almost attacked me. It was black with red spots at it's wing joints (?). I thought "why, aren't you a pretty bird" and then it started swooping around my head and I ran off. Otherwise, a lovely day.

Some assholes set a massage parlor on fire and there was an explosion. Four other buildings were damaged. >:|

Yay! This trike has been going on since April, because a Union was taking away the pension plan or something. Here's who went on strike:

1. Garbage/Recycling - Oh my gawd! The worst part. I've already done posts on this. Toronto has a garbage strike going on, and even though it hasn't been going on as long, it's probably worse due to the population.

2. Meter maids - People probably enjoyed this.

3. City Hall - I didn't have to meet with my bitch social worker because of it.

4. The people who take care of the city's lawns and gardens - Apparently some events had to be canceled because the grass was so high down at the river.

It's 12:25, blah blah blah. Waiting for my class to start. I walked here, it's not too bad outside.

I hate her soooooo mucho! But I'm not going to go on w/ that, I don't want another "*mumbles*".

I love this song, I love songs that are so friggin' long. This one being 17 minutes. That's so cool. I've heard this song everywhere, obviously since it's such a famous song, but I never knew it's name. I was so annoyed. Then finally last night I watched Manhunter, and finally found it.

Happy Canadas day! Wow, three firework shows in about a week. On the 28th, there was a festival and it ended with fireworks. I wrote about them on my Xanga. Then tonight there's fireworks. Then on the fourth. Yay! We're not going to the parade this morning, unfortunately. We used to always go. It's surprising how much I like parades. It's hot and crowded, but I love them because sometimes people throw things into the crowd. And I love free things. Even if they're just pins and stickers. Because I love pins and stickers.

I meant to write about this earlier, but I never got to. A nurse was killed at the hospital. She had been going out w/ a doctor who was unstable, and also married. She tried to break up with him, but instead he killed her. In the hospital. They think she might have been pregnant. Then he drugged himself, and they found him in his car. I heard he died in prison. The woman had a six year-old (I think), daughter. R.I.P. Lori.

On a lighter subject: My cousin is a stupid bitch. She does everything anyone ever tells her to do, and she lets people walk all over her. I'm tired of it. She actually went to the mall w/ her bitch friend at lunch time. Now she has a detention on Thursday, because she came back a half an hour after third period began. Then today, she went back! AH! Now I hope she gets suspended! Anyway...

Ah, I'm reading three different books right now. 1. Tale of the Body Theif by Anne Rice. (It's great, even though the first fucking 70 pages are missing! *hits Bob over the head*) 2. The Colour Purple by Alice Walker. 3. Is actually a script, I'm reading Brian's Song for English class.

Eep! I saw Amityville Horror, the new one. Ryan Reynolds rocks. He's a great actor, he's hot, AND Canadian... Ha... Don't love the movie, but it's okay. It's about equal w/ the original in my books. Though I like the end of the original better.

Yay I got 85 in English! I'm not that happy...
