Some last thoughts:
I've read nine of her books, here is how I rank them fave to least fave:
- I loved reading about the house restorations. I could have had all of that as a book.
- "Cock of an archangel" lol! Speaking of cock, she used it four times in seven paragraphs at one point.
- Should Michael be using the word "quadroon" (to describe a guy working for him) in a present day setting? It was okay in The Feast of All Saints, but in contemporary fiction?
- Who names their child Wheatfield? Or Gifford?
- It would have been funny if Lasher had taken Michaels clothing while he was skinny dipping.
- Laughter.
- I wrote down "randy" in my notes, and can't remember what I meant.
- Michael says he'll miss the gay community in San Fransisco. What is the gay community in New Orleans like? What's one more parade?
- Every time I read an Anne Rice novel, I have to write down a list of flowers that she mentions. I can never remember what certain flowers look like.
I've read nine of her books, here is how I rank them fave to least fave:
- Interview with the Vampire (1976), though I read it such a long time ago. I'll just take for granted that it's my favourite.
- The Feast of the All Saints (1979)
- Violin (1997), read this while I worked at VAC
- The Vampire Lestat (1985)
- The Queen of the Damned (1988) maybe tied with TVL
- The Witching Hour (1990)
- The Tale of the Body Thief (1992). The copy I had was missing the first 72 pages. I have a full copy and will read them in a few weeks
- The Servant of the Bones (1996)
- The Mummy: Ramses the Damned (1989), the most eye roll inducing one.
