Voted Yesterday
Oct. 28th, 2014 09:18 pmThe first time I was old enough to vote, I was all dressed and ready to go, but didn't at the last moment for agoraphobe reasons. I think the election was for Prime Minister. I would have voted for Jack Layton (RIP).
The second time, I didn't get a registration thingy in the mail and couldn't go to city hall for agoraphobe reasons. Don't remember what the election was for. Mayor, maybe.
The third time, I finally went. It was at a church by City Hall. I hadn't been in a church in a long time, but they all smell the same. Can't remember what the election was for. Or the name of the person I voted for.
Yesterday I voted at Begley school, it was for mayor. I had meant to research the candidates, but completely forgot. I voted for the same guy my mom and sister voted for, he didn't win.
Hopefully next time I will do some research. I felt guitly the two times I didn't vote because a lot of women and people of colour worked really hard to get the vote.
